*.* Another punk.. *.*

My BEST FRIEND is BACK and I was the LAST person ON EARTH to know! Thanks to all my crazy friends (you know who you are) and I got punked unknowingly and for no reason. Hey! My birthday past many months ago! -Hmph!-

I think I'll grow fat instantly just by eating with her in one setting. The donuts are great and too sweet and I think I'm having sugar rush after eating so many of them. Oh how can I forget the Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream!! (I just reminded of the 2 tubs of Island Creamy ice cream - Apple Pie rules!)

I feel the crazy moments are back again! We need GIRLS' TALK!! GIRLS shopping!! GIRLS tanning!! GIRLS stay over!! GIRLS STUFFS lah!! So guys, you should know what to do.

One very precious week. Too much to talk about, too much to do, too much for an update.

*.* Tinted rear mirror.. *.*

Woohoo! Guess wat!? I've got a new toy! Not exactly a new toy but I didn't regret buying a Loooonger and BIggeR rear mirror. All I wanted was just to TAKE A LOOK and maybe find a bigger rear mirror and I realized there are so many kinds - Flat mirror, convex, LED lights at the sides, solar energy based, longer, wider, some even decorated with diamonds, etc.. But what for? Because I saw one that is blue - Tinted blue rear mirror.

It best work for sunny day. It's like putting on a pair of sunglasses for your rear mirror. It shields off all the sunlight glares that can be hurtful to your eyes. And it also works well for night driving! It is to help you conquer some irritating drivers who loves to on their headlights and fog lights or those who changed to some stupid LED lights that can be so irritating to other drivers. Yes me.

Blue tinted rear mirror. You're the best!

Some thing's not quite right in the office. People seemed to have disappeared. Nobody seems to want to go back to office. I guess all of us are stuck in the same situation. NO SITES can be done! Sigh.. Days seem to be easier to pass with pressure and work to be done..

*.* Hospital Stay.. *.*

Finally I got discharged on Friday.

I was being paranoid, thinking that I might be infected with dengue but to my horror, my GP told me it might be appendicitis and referred me to the hospital straight away on Monday night. After waiting for few hours, I mean 4 hours, I was discharged and the doctors said there was nothing wrong with me.

I wasn't feeling any better. I couldn't believe the doctors didn't do ANY scan on my stomach and discharged me. So on Tuesday afternoon, I decided to look for a second opinion and went for a CT scan. Again, the doctor suspected I had appendicitis but the scan result was cleared. I went back to SGH and this time round, they admitted me.

On Wednesday morning at about 3 am, the doctor came and told me they might want to scope me. I was put on a drip. Never let the doctor insert the stupid drip on you. I saw my blood spilling out from the tube and my blood was dripping from my pinkie to the floor. 7am, doctors came and made me drink laxative. 2 litres to be exact to prepare me for the scope. I went to the toilet countless times and I was feeling weak. After 1 hour, they decided not to scope me. I drank half of the laxative and I felt so cheated! Poor me I was running to the toilet many many times until I gave up wearing their pants because it was TOO BIG. I survived with my FBT shorts.

Finally when they told me I could eat something on Thursday morning, I was so happy. Breakfast came and I was so happy to be able to drink milo. Shortly after taking 2 sips, the nurse came and took my breakfast away telling me that they had to fast me because they wanted to do an ultrasound scan on me. My tears almost rolled down from my eyes. After the scan in the afternoon, I finally ate porridge for dinner.

I was finally discharged on Friday and the cause was some gastric problem. I asked the nurse if I was the sexiest patient in the ward because many nurses were shocked seeing me without shorts! They thought I didn't wear anything. -Laughs- I did, just that my shorts are short! I went home and weighed myself and found out that I lost 4KG in 4 DAYS!!!

Thanks to all who came and visit me. I really appreciate it. How can I forget those who smsed me too? Thank you thank you. It's lonely to stay in the hospital. I survived with PSP, songs and the tv outside my room. Oh well, I kinda miss the hospital bed with the buttons - not the red button with the white cross but the one that helps to go up and down.. up and down.. up and up.. down and down.. up down up down.. (if you know what I mean).

Anyway, bad news shortly I came back. I received a letter from the traffic police. I was caught speeding. After checking out the exact time and location, I remembered it was the day I had to rush to site to do a test. My pocket is going to be a big hole and 6 demerit points. HELP ME!!

*.* Commando camp.. Childhood Memories.. *.*

Just came back after sending a friend who got enlisted to Commando. I was brought back to some childhood memories. As I was talking to one of the Warrant Officers who looked quite familiar, he told me that he was one of those 'Uncles' who played with me when I was younger whenever I go to my mom's workplace as a little visitor.

They would play with me and chase me around. Yeah, I remembered that. Slowly everyone seemed to know both my parents and some sent their regards to them. I was very proud to say that my mom saved their lives as they were going through Airbone training as my mom had to pack their chutes. Mummy is the best.

Well after looking the video clip of what and how these men do to protect our country, I owe them a big thank you. Every role is just as important. I come to be more understanding too. The food was.. I think was fine but not to my liking.

He looked quite sad. I guess it's just the beginning.

*.* Food!! *.*

Finally get a chance to blog this overdue post.

I went to Shangri-la Hotel for a buffet farewell dinner for another person going to be enlisted this Friday. Anyway it is posh hotel with great buffet variety from seafood to chinese food to indian food to shelves and shelves of dessert. Oh my, my first time there and I felt so 'mountain tortoise'. I didn't even dare to use my hands..

Seafood and Appetizer

Lobster is huge!!
And the fresh Sashimi!!!

After eating all this, I was pretty sure I was quite full. Eh.. Quite.. Did I not tell you that all this food was just one section? I haven't really touch any of the main course..

I went ahead with nibbling some normal food i.e. chicken, beef, fish, prawn..

And I was full.

But I saw this!

My goodness, the fondue was (I forgot to take a picture of it!! I was simply too excited!) great. The strawberry was huge and sweet! I wanted to try everything but my stomach couldn't contain ALL of them.

I had these:

And ice cream, jelly beans, chocolate and mango crepe and more chocolate..

And of course I was super full. I thought I ate an elephant to fill up my small stomach.

I didn't dream that I would be dining at a posh hotel in my life. Furthermore this used to be one of the site I was working on with my ex-colleague. It was because of work that I come to know about more roads and places.
And you can see, I think I didn't eat worth that amount his aunt paid (I don't think the number of lobster and oyster I ate cover the cost). Please starve me 3 days 3 nights before you consider bringing me to a buffet.

It happened that the hotel was organizing a function for the Poshe club. So many poshed cars. My eyes almost dropped when I saw them parking together. It was like a Poshe garage. I wished I own just one. One will do.. I know I can't afford so I was in a fantasy of cars....

I thought this is quite special..

I was looking for ATM and he lent me $50 and said 'Take it you're giving me a chance to meet you someday when I'm out...'
I thought that was sweet. =)
Anyway, I returned that $50. I don't mind meeting up with any reason or for no reason.

= = = = = = =

Something random..

I think my colleagues think I'm a 'Mountain Tortoise'. I didn't know that mouse 'eats' elephant in animal chess. I haven't play animal chess in my entire life. Well, at least I know that elephants are afraid of mouse to enter their big ears.

I didn't know that are so many 'He-Shes' around these days and what it meant by 'selling backside'. Okay, I shall not go into details about this.

*.* *.*

Credit goes to Mythbusters.

Elephants are afraid of mice! Well they aren't like in the cartoons where they will give a loud trumpet roar and stomp away in fear.

They actually stopped to make sure and walked away to avoid it, quietly.

*.* Some thoughts.. *.*

I was at the new extension building of Northpoint Shopping Centre. It's like seeing something being born, from nothing to something.

There is neither indoor nor outdoor signal at the building right now so I was not able to make calls or receive any calls. Basements were the worse place to be. It was filled with dust, pretty dark and almost no ventilation. I felt I was breathing in chuck of air filled with cement and dust because of all the drilling. The site was quite messy. I felt as though I'm one of the Si Chuan earthquake survivors who is buried under the debris, trying very hard to breathe and waiting for rescuers to save me, well except that I had more space to roam about. A silly thought came to my mind when I was surveying the carpark at Basement 2. But what if the building collapsed and I'm all the way at the basement?! I was thinking if I should write my last words on my mobile and save it in my draft folder. Mind you, I was uncontactable at all!

I suddenly thought of the repeated telecast charity show that I watched that day..

Sad.
