*.* Encounter is coming!! Cell retreat is coming!! *.*

Encounter Retreat is coming, cell retreat is coming. Retreat after retreat, wow.. It really excites everyone. I'm hoping to hear an answer from God, I'm praying for a revival for my cell that everyone will go into a higher level of worship. It's a pity that not the whole cell can go because of the time schedule that we all have, some having holidays, some having exams.

I hope this retreat can not only bond the cell stronger, it wil also help all of us to grow spiritually stronger.

*.* *.*

It has been such a long time ever since I went to gym for a workout to burn all the necessary and after that went for a good warn and sunny swim. The process of the workout is fun but the aftermath of it is painful. MY body is now aching and my skin in burnt. Not to the extend of 'chao ta' (charcoal kind of burn), it's just brown and not obvious. That's the disappointing part.

I realised how it is like being 18 years old. Even though I went to gym with my friend, we paid different amount just because I'm 18 already and she is not. The difference of $1 makes me feel I'm old. We are of the same year just that my birthday is over so I'm officially 18 and I got to pay more because I'm 18.

I finally understand what is it being 18.. haha..

*.* 1 year... *.*

Today is my marks my 1 year anniversary of my blog. I've been through so much this past year, so much had been written here and said. I thank people for reading this blog.

Looking back, I started a blog because I was bored but I ended up writing things. Though not very often cause sometimes I simply don't have the time to do that, I enjoy myself here.

Last year I was simply too free was on a super long holiday. This year, I'm also on holiday but I'm in office typing away and doing my work.

I'm happy... So very happy.. =)

*.* *.*

Exams and exams... I can't wait for my last paper to come!!! I'm already not in the mood to study.

My week was fun. Though I'm in a midst of having exams, I'm working part-time too. It's very fun working in an environment that I'm comfortable in. I really enjoy myself.

Sunday was Enrolment Service (10 Apr 05). It was just like before nothing much had changed. As usual, people come and go. Last year there were many primers and officers, this year some left. While taking photos, some memorizes came back. This year's Enrolment Service is much later than last year's.

Many people keep making fun of us because of our uniform, saying that we look like one security guard. Hahaha.. Well, maybe we do.

I thank God for this ministry, though I'm only in here for a year, I've learnt a lot from myself and I know working in a ministry is not that simple. It's not like treating it as a CCA but it's more than that. It's about lives, saving lives, impacting lives. I know I'm called in here. Thank God.

*.* Slimming pills *.*

PS: This entry is based on my own reflections, it has nothing against any brands or products.

Slimming pills and other slimming products are pretty popular in Singapore. One after another new products are coming out and more slimming centers are opening up to Singaporeans to cater their needs. Even though a couple of years back there was a case where someone actually had side effect after taking the slimming pills and they spent more money and even one's life just to look prettier, slimmer and stuffs.

I tried taking slimming pills too. Apparently, it didn't work well on me thus I've decided to use the old and primitive method that is to eat right and exercise. One really have to have the determination to exercise and be consistance otherwise it's as good as not doing anything.

If you are looking at yourself in the mirror one day, and you ask yourself why aren't you someone prettier than so-and-so? Why can't you have a more perfect body than anyone else?

Think about it again. Does your body figure tell who you are as a person? Does you body tell people of your character? The Chinese always say this in Hokkien "want looks, don't want life".

No one is perfect in this world...

Think about it, want life or want beauty?
