*.* God is REAL!! *.*

I have never seen a miracle healing until today. I seen it with my own eyes and I can only say God is real. My friend has constant headache that she can pop as many panadols a day and we always have to watch over her making sure she don't get overdose.

Today she received a healing power from God. Her constant headache was caused by her unalignment in her body, from her ankle to her hips to her shoulders. God aligned all of them instantly! Wow my eyes and my mouth couldn't close when I saw that. It was so amazing and the preacher, Rev Irene East, asked me if God is real. I could only answer yes, God is so so real.

Honestly, it's really getting real with God then you will taste and see the goodness of God. I want to experience that kind of 'realness' with God. It's totally awesome.

Will you?

*.* One body many parts *.*

This was the sermon topic on Sunday when I was at the Chinese Service.
It's something funny, sensible and biblical.

One day, the body parts were arguing who is more important. The hand was saying very proudly that she is the most important of all because she holds things and grabs food to put into the mouth.

The leg was saying he is the most important of all because he does the walking to the market so that the hand is able to choose the food.

The eye then said very proudly that she is the most important of all, without her, the body cannot see. When this happens, the leg will not know where to move and the hands will not be able to hold things that cannot be seen.

All three of them were quarreling to see who is the most important in the body. Then they heard someone shouting, "What about me? What about me?"

All three of them were wondering who was that shouting and asked, "Who are you?"

The little voice replied, "I'm the anus."

There was a sudden quietness, after that laughter burst out. "You, Anus!? You are useless! You are not important at all!"

The anus felt so sad and he thought since he is useless, he decided to shut off and closed up.

3 days passed, the body was feeling uneasy but the other parts were still quarreling among themselves, justifying who is more important and continued to tease the anus saying he is useless.

5 days passed, the body was feeling unwell.

Finally 1 week passed, the body collapsed. No one is able to compare and argue who is more important.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many times we compare ourselves to others. We tend to compare what we don't have with others or we compare who plays the most important role in school, in office and even in church. We didn't know that even the insignificant role can play a very important role. We simply cannot function without each other especially in the Body of Christ. Even the little toe that hurts, it makes walking difficult. Even the broken fingernail makes shampooing difficult. Just like our human body, the Body of Christ works the same.
We are all important in the eyes of our Father...
*.* Nehemiah 4 cell shall end it's chapter here... The ending is better than the beginning! *.*
Nehemiah 4 cell in Yishun Methodist Mission started in August 2004.
In fact, we actually started in June as a Bible Study group with the BB Primers of 62nd. In August, we were officially part of the church forming a cell. It started of (If I didn't remember wrongly) with 8 people. James (Cell Leader), Daryl, Eugene, Rachel, Daphne, Irene, Ada and myself.
During the first half of 2005, Jonathan, Wee Kuang, Priscilla, Eunice, Wendy, Leon joined us. We had cell every Friday at Rachel's place and by March, cell was at my place.
By the end of 2005, we had Leslie, Sherman and Jeriel with us. The cell grew from 8 to 16.
Up to now, Feb 2006, we have 14 cell members. Along the way Eugene left us, Wee Kuang went to another church and Priscilla went to adult cell.
2nd - 4th Dec 2004, James, Daryl, Jeffery, Rachel, Daphne, Irene, Ada and myself, additional members of Victor and Simon. It was the first time that the cell went so far out. We went to Dompak for mission trip. 3 days 2 nights.
I remembered all of us had to share the load and carry instant noodles, mass tins, canned foods, each of our own sleeping bag and our own stuffs. We all had to walk a long distance and all we could do was to sing songs along the way, encouraging each other. We took turns to carry water because we were running out of supply of water and by the last day we had so much water that we had to share the load of waters.
We played the game 'polar bear' outside the house until it was dark and slept in that house on the first night. The girls in a room and the guys had to sleep outside. They really snored very loud. We couldn't sleep!
Second night, we slept in a 'all star hotel'. We had so much laughter and fun. We had lots of fun playing with the kids there and among ourselves too. Not forgetting the shower at the well and we really were so 'no skill' as we kept dropping the pail into the well and had to use manpower and brains to pull it up.
6th - 8th May 2005 Cell Retreat at Port Dickson. James, Jonathan, Daryl, Eunice, Rachel, Daphne, Wendy and myself, with Pastor Gordon leading us there.
We had so much fun and encountering God. We had lots of fun and all the exploring and eating. It was during the cell retreat that we set our goals and vision for this cell and later called ourselves Nehemiah 4 because it was about rebuilding the wall. We are building lives. I dare say we really had the mountain top experience. After that we each had our own spiritual partners. We were told to pray and find for ourselves.
--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~
Out of the 14 of us, there are 5 youth interns - Eunice, Rachel, Daphne, Jonathan and myself. Among the 5 of us, 3 of us were called one day to talk about something very serious. Never did I expect that we were told that there will be re-shuffering of our cell. We were told to be prepared for this big change and not to spread the word around.
17 Feb 2006, all the youth cells had our cell meeting at 102. We were told the importance of cell division and why we should multiply. Cell division is always painful but it's necessary if not all of us can't grow and the worse case will be the cell dies off.
I have seen the ups and downs of this cell. At times when we were at the highest point of time and we could worship God for an hour plus. The downest part of time where everyone simply couldn't carry on for cell that day because there were misunderstandings, there were unhappiness among us.
Everyone has changed and grown over these 1 and a half years. It's painful to say goodbye to this cell. We all have to go and take up the challenges ahead. We all need to get out of our own comfort zone and build up more lives. We are still the bricks of Nehemiah 4 cell and our mission is still to build lives.
Till 24 March 2006 comes, I just want to say, Thank you each and every cell member of your time and effort for making up this cell. Without you, there won't be Nehemiah 4. Thank God for you and your every little effort and every lesson you gave me. I guess the most significant thing that we did was our beloved banner when we did it in April 2005. It's really the hard work of all of us. It really bond us all together. We gone through so much together. Events after events, enounter retreat, attending Youth Service together, BYG camp, seeing each other grow. I really can't bear to leave all of you.
I really want to thank God for all of you. I love you Nehemiah 4!
Nehemiah 4 cell shall end it's chapter here... The ending is better than the beginning!
What is the first thing that comes to my mind when you mention cell?
God, worship, Word, cell agenda, birthday cakes and birthday sabotage and all of you...
*.* Everything has it's first time... *.*
Today is a very exciting day for me. This is my first time playing for Chinese Service. The interesting thing about Chinese Service is there are only 2 instruments, the guitar and the keyboard, so whatever mistakes anyone make can be heard so distinctively. I was told that when I make a mistake, I must not let the cat out of the bag by my facial expression. You may call it 'act blur'. I just pretended I didn't know anything and continued. I was a little worried and scared actually because I don't really know the songs. I had to go online to listen to the songs again and again, trying to pick up how they play.
People who know me will know that when I get excited, my palms will sweat. I hate the stinky and wet feeling. My friends will know best because they hate it too. When they touched my hands, they will scream. I hate it most when we are told to hold hands. It's super yucky. That's why they will always tease me by telling me not to short circuit the keyboard.
Surprisingly, my palms wasn't sweaty at all while I was playing! Thank God for that! I really enjoyed playing today because I simply let God use me as a vessel. I honestly have no idea how did I play today. I need to listen to the recorded version and then see where I can improve on.
I want to surrender everything to God. It's God I serve and people I minister. I want to be used by God and let God do His work. He does not even need me to do it, but He chose me. I choose to be chosen by Him too...
*.* *.*
It has been a super long time since I last put on my shorts, running shoes and a towel for a jog. If I didn't remember wrongly, it was a few days before the Ophir trip and till now, it has accumulated of 2 months plus of fats (mind you, it's after CYN too - the eat and grow fat season).
It is not easy jogging alone non-stop. That kind of momentum needs to be build up all over again. I really missed my Ophir kakis. I miss the time we had doing training together, that kind of encouragement we give to each other so that no one gives up.
I must build that discipline to jog at least twice a week. Need to burn off my fats!
Chinese New Year: Make yourself look pretty, Visitations, Eat, Sleep and Grow Fat.
